WEEK 2: GENESIS 2:4-3

In Genesis 2:4, God creates Adam and places him in a beautiful garden called Eden. God tells Adam not to eat from a certain tree. God sees that Adam is alone, so He creates Eve from Adam's rib.

In Chapter 3, a serpent tricks Eve into eating the forbidden fruit, and Adam follows suit. They realize they are naked and try to cover themselves. God confronts them, and there are consequences: curses for the serpent, pain in childbirth, and difficult work. Adam and Eve are expelled from Eden.

This part of Genesis highlights the importance of obedience, the consequences of disobedience, and God's continued care for humanity even after mistakes are made. The story shows a shift in the relationship between God and humans.
