Chapter Fifteen
John 15 is a beautiful chapter about remaining connected to Jesus and living out His love. Jesus begins by saying, “I am the true vine, and My Father is the gardener.” He encourages His disciples to remain in Him, just as branches stay connected to the vine to bear fruit. Without Him, they can do nothing. He calls them to love one another as He has loved them, even laying down their lives for each other. Jesus also talks about how the world will hate them because of their connection to Him, just as it hated Him. But He reminds them that they’re not alone—He’s sending the Holy Spirit, the Helper, to guide and empower them. Jesus promises that if they remain in His love and follow His commands, their joy will be complete. The chapter highlights the importance of staying close to Jesus, loving others selflessly, and finding joy and strength in His love, even when facing opposition.
