Chapter Seventeen

John 17 is a powerful chapter where Jesus prays for Himself, His disciples, and all believers. First, He prays for Himself, asking God to glorify Him so that He can glorify the Father, completing the work He was sent to do. Then, He prays for His disciples, asking God to protect them, keep them united, and sanctify them through the truth. He prays that they would be full of joy and empowered to continue His mission. Finally, Jesus prays for all future believers, asking that they would be united in love and that the world would know God through their unity and witness. He ends the prayer by expressing His desire for all believers to be with Him and experience the love the Father has for Him. John 17 is a beautiful, heartfelt prayer where Jesus expresses His deep care for His followers and His desire for their unity, protection, and joy in God’s love.
